Quiet Time

We've had a ton of company and lot's of time with friends over the holidays. Although we've had a blast, we decided to take the day and spend as a family. Just hanging out. No tv, no computer, no friends.

It was really the nicest day we've had. We all realized how much we love each other and really enjoy spending time together. We first put the Leg Lamp puzzle together -

Then we played games together.

Then we went to see Bedtime Stories (Loved it!)

Then we went to dinner.

At diner we play "Tell Daddy A Secret". Basically it's a game we made up when the boys were little. We grab the baby and whisper in his ear "Go tell Daddy a secret. Tell him 'I Love You'." Then he runs over to the other side of the table and tells daddy the secret. Then daddy sends one back.

After a while the big boys wanted in on the fun and so we had three boys with three secrets going back and forth. We laughed and laughed and had a ball! Thank goodness we were sitting outside at the restaurant. We were loud in our laughter and there was a bit of snorting and howling. The secrets got funnier and funnier "tell daddy his bottom is as big as an elephant" and then sweet like "tell your daddy he's as handsome as he was the day I met him".

When we got home the boys said "Can we do another family day tomorrow?" How beautiful is that? Makes me want to move to the country and live off the grid and just be together.
