Serious Fun!

My DH and I must be getting old. We are early birds and don't like to stay out late.

Last night we were presented with an opportunity to go to dinner and a hockey game with the Boys' Scout Pack. We agreed when it was early in the day. As it got closer to evening we were questioning our decision.

But, we sucked it up and went. Had great Mexican food and then headed out to the hockey game.

The hockey team is a local small league of 17-21 year old boys who play to try and get a college scholarship. We had never heard of these guys so we were a bit hesitant as well.

All I can say is "What A Blast!"

The hockey game was fun, the atmosphere was exciting and the boys loved learning about hockey with all their scout friends.

The one thing about San Antonio is it's a small town hidden in a big city. You always see someone you know when you are out. In that sense, we noticed one of the hockey officials is a friend and member of our church!

After the game, the boys got to skate with the hockey players.

These young men were so nice and helped all the scouts skate around the ice.

It was serious fun and we will go back to another hockey game. Even if it means putting our young pants on and staying out late!
